Unit 501 - Leadership and management in adult care: Understand the application of theories of leadership and management, understand the importance of leadership and management in adult care settings, lead commitment to a vision for the service, provide leadership for a team in an adult care setting, manage team working.
Unit 502 - Governance and regulatory processes: Understand legislation and statutory requirements that underpin adult care provision, understand internal governance arrangements within own organisation, understand systems and requirements for regulation of adult care services, understand roles, remits and responsibilities in registered services, understand inspection processes, understand wider ranges of regulatory requirements that apply to services.
Unit 503- Communication and information management in adult care: Understand models of communication, develop communication systems and practises which support positive outcomes, implement systems for effective information management, support others with effective communication strategies
Unit 504 - Relationships and partnership working: Understand the context of relationships and partnership working, lead effective relationships with those using adult care services and their families, manage working relationships with colleagues in the organisation, work in partnership with professionals in other agencies
Unit 505 - Person centred practice for positive outcomes: Understand the principles and values of person-centred outcome-based practice, manage resources to facilitate positive outcomes for individuals, lead practice to achieve health and care outcomes champion equality, diversity and inclusion to achieve positive outcomes ,
Unit 505 - Person centred practice for positive outcomes: Lead continuous improvement in carrying out health and care procedures where required , develop community relationships to provide integrated services, managing concerns and complaints in adult care.
Unit 506 - Professional development, supervision, and performance management: Understand principles of professional development in adult care, understand the purpose of supervision in adult care, provide professional supervision, understand the management of performance in adult care settings
Unit 507 - Resource management in adult care: Understand principles of effective resource management, understand principles of human resource management
Unit 508 - Safeguarding, protection and risk: Understand safeguarding legislation, local and national policies, lead on the effective application and review of safeguarding and whistleblowing policies, procedures and protocols, understand restrictive practice and potential impact, understand the role and responsibilities of adult care practitioners in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children and young people, promote health and safety in the workplace
Unit 509 - Managing self: Understand the importance of self-awareness, manage personal and professional behaviour, manage workloads, undertake professional development
