This person has successfully demonstrated all of the knowledge and practical competencies required to achieve the Skills Proficiency Certificate in Basic Electrical Installation.
They can maintain safe working conditions, adopt safe procedures for themselves and others including the safe erection of simple scaffolding platforms and setting safety barriers around electrical hazards. They can also select and maintain tools in a correct and safe manner.
They can set out and install cables, fix and connect electrical accessories, terminate electrical conductors for domestic single phase socket outlets and domestic fixed equipment circuits. They can install, terminate and connect domestic single phase distribution boards. They can also carry out tests of installed circuits.
