This programme Assured by City & Guilds is designed to provide individuals with the underpinning knowledge for Hazardous Atmosphere and Confined Space Atmosphere Testing. Delegates will be persons involved in risk assessment, gas detection and the issue of permits to work and equivalent documentation utilised for working with or monitoring confined spaces and hot work tasks.

This individual has completed a programme of study that provided them with knowledge of how to assess, test, remove and continually monitor atmosphere hazards within confined spaces and hot work areas. They have understood the correct procedures when carrying out fire watch or standby duties. They also understand documentation, roles, responsibilities and correct actions in preparation of an ‘on-site observed assessment’ after completing the programme.
This individual has completed six written tests in preparation of Hazardous Atmospheres and Confined Space Atmosphere Testing in their workplace. They have been formatively observed in preparation of ‘live assessment’ in their workplace.
