Nearly Zero Energy Building (NZEB) - Ventilation

The purpose of this programme is to provide the individual with the knowledge, skills and competence in the design, installation, and commissioning of ventilation systems in line with Nearly Zero Energy Building (NZEB). This programme is for those who are qualified in a relevant trade, e.g. Plumbing, Sheetmetal or Electrical, or have a minimum of 3 years relevant experience in construction related field, or relevant area of construction or mechanical services.

This individual has developed an understanding of basic NZEB principles. They have understood ventilation flow rate design, ventilation installation and commissioning. They have applied the ventilation flow rate design calculation methodology to a variety of scenarios. They have practiced installing and commissioning ventilation systems based on the NZEB principles based on Technical Guidance Document Part F. They understand the importance of good communication and collaborative team working.

This individual has successfully passed a theory and practical assessment to demonstrate their competency in installation, balancing and commissioning of ventilation systems. They have achieved compliance with Part F 2019 Installation and Commissioning of Ventilation Systems for Dwellings.
