The programme is aimed at individuals who have experience of training in the Mental Health or Social Care sectors and wish to deliver Suicide Prevention training. In addition to the theory and practice of being a tutor, the programme includes assessed components of Suicide Intervention Training delivery. This will equip individuals with the skills and knowledge, not only to practice Suicide First-Aid, but to deliver high quality training to the SFA required standard.

Earning Criteria
Optional
The individual has completed an extended, assessed programme, learning key concepts in Suicide Prevention training. The individual has gained knowledge and skills that allow them to deliver training that is both trauma-aware and culturally sensitive. The individual is able to train others in Suicide First Aid to a demanding standard.
The individual has been assessed via an extended written assignment, a reflective journal, observation of teaching practice and an over-arching assessment of the individual’s evaluation record.
