Through a multiple-choice assessment, the learner has demonstrated their understanding of statutory safety regulations relating to HV/LV safe working practices, how to issue and how to cancel safety documents. They have confirmed their knowledge of HV protection systems, earthing of switchgear and cables, live HV phasing, and operating records and documentation.
Through a practical assessment the learner has demonstrated how to perform cable location and identification, how to carry out HV pressure testing of cables and vacuum circuit breakers. They have shown their skills in carrying out earthing of switchgear and cables, live HV phasing, how to operate and maintain HV switchgear, and to complete Permit to Work for repair and logbook entries.
