This qualification contains a range of optional units which the learner will have achieved depending on their work role and work setting. They will be able to provide additional separate evidence of those optional units.

These could include: Lay hard surfaces for external landscaping ; assess soil texture and condition ; plant a tree ; plant a container for seasonal display ; prune deciduous spring-flowering shrubs ; maintain indoor plants ; prune soft fruit bushes and cane fruits ; propagate plants by stem cuttings ; repair damaged turf ; use a pedestrian controlled rotary cultivator ; identify plants by botanical name ; identify damage caused by plant pests.
