This qualification is for those who use an Sit In & Sit-astride ATV. You may be working in agriculture, grounds maintenance, outdoor events or use the ATV for recreational use. Minimum age limit for candidates taking this qualification is 16. It covers pre-use checks, maintenance, instrument and control recognition, safe driving of Sit In & Sit-astride ATVs, manoeuvring the vehicle on rough terrain/slopes. There is an option to cover the use of a trailer/trailed attachment. Ofqual No: 603/5338/7

Know the hazards, risk assessment requirements and legislation for the use of side-by-side ATVs
Carry out pre-start checks on a side-by-side ATV
Operate a side-by-side ATV
The learner may also have completed the elective Unit 205 (Operate an All-Terrain Vehicle with a Trailer or Trailed Attachment) - They are able to:
