Required
For the Level 2 Diploma in Aerospace and Aviation Engineering (Military Foundation Competence) Learners must achieve units (201 - 203) Plus any 3 units from (240, 257 – 259, 262-271)
The learner can: Comply with their duties and obligations as defined in the Health and Safety at Work Act. Demonstrate the required behaviours in line with the job role and company objectives. Present themselves in the workplace suitably prepared for the activities to be undertaken. Follow organisational accident and emergency procedures. Recognise and control hazards in the workplace. Use correct manual lifting and carrying techniques. Apply safe working practices and procedures
The learner can: Work safely at all times, complying with health and safety and environmental legislation, regulations and other relevant guidelines. Demonstrate the required behaviours in line with the job role and company objectives/values. Plan the engineering activities before they start them. Prepare the work area for carrying out the engineering activity. Obtain all necessary tools and equipment and check that they are in a safe and usable condition
The learner can: Deal promptly and effectively with problems within their control, and seek help and guidance from the relevant people if they have problems that they cannot resolve. Maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and supervisors. Review personal training and development, as appropriate to the job role. Clean, tidy up and restore the work area on completion of the engineering activity. Use the approved source to obtain the required data, documentation or specifications
The learner can: Demonstrate the required behaviours in line with the job role and company objectives. Extract and interpret information from engineering drawings and other related documentation. Report any inaccuracies or discrepancies in the drawings and specifications. Use the information obtained to establish work requirements. Record and communicate the technical information by appropriate means.
