We offer a full suite of childcare courses covering Levels 1 to 5 for those working with children, young people and their families. They include both work based and classroom based qualifications that develop the knowledge and skills needed to learn about and/or work in: supporting children’s’ care, play, learning and development in playwork, care, early education or home based settings children’s residential care as practitioners and managers supporting parents playwork We work closely with industry experts and regulators including the Department for Education, Social Care Wales (SCW), NHS in Wales, the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC), employers and other key stakeholders. As a result our qualifications are highly valued by employers throughout England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

9061-12 Level 2 End-point Assessment for Early Years Practitioner

This person has met the criteria for each component of the end-point assessment for the Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship standard. (City & Guilds code: 9061-12). Early Years Practitioners work directly with children in settings on a day-to-day basis, supporting activity planning and delivery, purposeful play and educational programmes. They work in a team for the welfare and care of children under supervision of an Early Years Educator, teacher or other qualified professional.

Early Years Educators are highly trained professionals who play a key role in ensuring that young children learn and develop well and are kept healthy and safe. They work in a range of settings and as childminders. They can work on their own or supervise others to deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) requirements for the learning, development and care of children up to 5 years old. (IFATE Standard Reference Number 0135 and City & Guilds Qualification Number 9062-12)
